Position Summary
Rhema Word Theology College and University seeks qualified, biblically grounded, and
dedicated Adjunct Professors to provide engaging, academically rigorous instruction to
undergraduate and graduate students. The Adjunct Professor is responsible for delivering
course content aligned with the institution’s Statement of Faith, evaluating student academic
performance, providing constructive mentorship, and maintaining administrative records.

 

This position operates on a per-course or annual contract basis, with compensation provided as
a single stipend at the conclusion of the school year upon successful completion of all
instructional and administrative duties.

Key Qualifications


Education: Master’s degree (M.Div., M.A. in Theology/Biblical Studies, or related field)
required; or Doctorate (Ph.D., Th.D., or D.Min.) preferred.
Alignment: Full agreement with the institutional mission, core values, and Statement of
Faith of Rhema Word Theology College and University.
Experience: Prior higher education teaching experience and active ministry or pastoral
experience strongly desired.
Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, proficiency with online teaching
platforms/learning management systems, and a demonstrated passion for theological
education and spiritual formation.

Curriculum Vitae (CV): Prioritizes higher education teaching experience, courses
prepared to teach, advanced degrees (M.Div. or Ph.D. in Theology/Religious Studies),
and relevant academic publications or presentations
Transcripts: Official or unofficial graduate transcripts proving at least 18 graduate credit
hours in theology or a master's degree in the specific discipline.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities


Adjunct faculty members at Rhema Word Theology College and University are expected to
uphold academic integrity, spiritual leadership, and institutional standards throughout the
instructional term. Primary duties include:


Curriculum Delivery & Instruction
   - Deliver high-quality, biblically sound instruction aligned with approved course
syllabi and university learning outcomes.
Facilitate approved engaging lectures, class discussions, and interactive learning
environments (in-person or online).


Course Preparation & Management
- Develop clear instructions of the syllabi, reading schedules, and assignment
guidelines prior to the start of each course.
- Utilize university email and spreadsheets for announcements, gradebook
maintenance, and resource distribution.
- Curriculum will be distributed by the Office of Academic Affairs.


Student Assessment & Grading
- Evaluate student coursework, papers, exams, and class participation using
objective, fair criteria.
- Provide constructive feedback and return graded assignments in a timely
manner.
- Submit final course grades by the established institutional deadlines at the end
of each term according to syllabi dates.

Academic Advisement & Support
- Maintain scheduled virtual or in-person office hours to assist students with
course content and academic progress.

- Respond promptly to student inquiries via official university email (typically
within 24–48 hours).
Institutional & Doctrinal Compliance
- Conduct all instruction and personal interactions in alignment with the
institutional mission and Statement of Faith of Rhema Word Theology College
and University.
- Adhere to all university policies, academic regulations, and administrative
guidelines.


Working Conditions
- Evening, weekend, and online teaching assignments are required.


Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while maintaining a professional presence
and demeanor in a virtual setting.
- Proficiency in operating standard classroom technology, computers, and spreadsheet
deadlines.
